Quality Assessment

At Spectra we realise that quality is paramount. Every batch we produce is made in accordance with our production procedure. This procedure is based around the production specification of the masterbatch, which is unique to each product.

Following a successful audit our quality systems have been certified to the ISO 9001 standard.

Included in the production specification are all the pigment and polymer quantities to be used as well as any specific customer requirements, such as let down rate and pellet size. Each batch must undergo rigorous checks to ensure that it conforms to customer requirements. All production is compared to an original 'Master Standard', which is derived from the customer approved masterbatch sample. In addition, we keep sample plaques from each batch as well as comprehensive records to give us a full traceable history for each product.

In the event of a problem we make every effort to resolve the issue as soon as possible. By following our non-conforming product procedure we can trace the root cause of any problem as well as quickly and efficiently replacing the masterbatch.

Finally, we package our masterbatch in hardwearing valve sacks to ensure they are not damaged or contaminated in transport. All products are clearly labelled and plaques are sent with every batch along with a statement of conformity to allow our customers to keep a record of our batches also.
